Summer courses in Suomenlinna and Cable Factory

A broad selection of summer courses of the Helsinki Artists’ Association Art School and Course Centre are organised in Suomenlinna and the Cable Factory for children, youth, and adults.

Fancy a creative holiday? Participate in the Helsinki Artists’ Association summer courses in Suomenlinna and Cable Factory! A summer week soaked in the arts and engaging in creative activity relaxes and reinvigorates. The Suomenlinna sea fortress hosts the residents’ homes, parks, and picturesque cliffs alike. Motifs and inspiration can be found from the vast horizon of the sea to the shadows of the fortress arches. Teaching takes place in the exciting facilities of the Art School MAA in an 18th century barracks building on the Susisaari island. The Course Centre also organises arts courses in collaboration with Helsinki Summer University.

The Cable Factory courses are organised in Ruoholahti, which is easily accessible by metro, tram, or bus. The Cable Factory is the largest cultural centre in Finland, and the five hectares of the edgy old factory offer a lot to view and experience. Summery Helsinki provides inspiration with sea and city landscapes as well as urban architecture.
