Hillevi Vähälä-Aranko :
TWISTS AND TURNS

Arabianranta Library is presenting Hillevi Vähälä-Aranko’s exhibition TWISTS AND TURNS from October 1 to November 30, 2026. You are warmly invited to view the works!

"My paintings are experiences of the times we live in—moments where human and 
nature meet, and where dialogue and transformation take place. They are a kind of 
staged event through which I examine the world based on my own experiences. I use 
forms that evoke imagery: they are green, thrive both indoors and out, are prickly, 
difficult to touch, and require care."


Hillevi Vähälä-Aranko graduated as a painter from the Academy of Fine Arts and works in Helsinki as a visual artist and art teacher.

Arabianranta Library

The Arabianranta Library, which serves as the exhibition venue, is located at Hämeentie 135 A, 00560 Helsinki. 

The Helsinki Artists’ Association has provided its member artists with a new free exhibition space at the Arabianranta Library since May 2022. Exhibition periods are offered flexibly, lasting two months each, allowing for 6 to 7 exhibitions per year. These exhibition slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
